Q: What advice can you give me on a Cadillac cts?
Ok, im planning on purchasing a 2003-2004 cadillac cts. What advice can you give me? is it a nice car? what are the pros and cons? and what do you think about it?

Q: Why is my 06 Cadillac CTS turning on when I lock the car?
I have an 06 CTS. I hit the lock button twice and close the door. Guess what? It turns on by itself. Why?

A: You must have some kind of remote starter installed. Thats great for winter!

Q: I have a cadillac cts and my security system has locked my car down.How can I bypass this?
I can get it started but it takes 3 10min. intervals of turning the key on waiting 10 min.. turning it off for 5 sec. I have to do this 3 times before it will start.

A: what year is it?

usually you can’t bypass the security system on these. they make it this way so a thief can’t bypass it to steal it. it’s probably just a passlock sensor. cheap fix, but only a gm dealer can do it because the module will need programed by their computer.

Q: Was the Cadillac cts’s handling tuned on the nurburgring?
I know the cts-V was tested and tuned on the nurburgring but what about the 6 cylinder versions?

A: I believe they were both tested there but dont expect the base CTS to handel like the V

Q: I have an 03 cadillac cts and the trunk will not stay closed, how can I fix it?
The trunk will not stay closed. I have searched everywhere to find the replacement part and can’t find it and I really, really don’t want to go back to the dealership and have to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. Does anyone know the correct terminology for the part and how much the part should cost?

A: Don’t go to the dealer. Q: I have a 2006 cadillac cts without bose system, what are some good speakers to replace my factory speakers?
I have a Jensen VM9022 installed but now my factory speakers sound horrible. I wanted to ask more about the OZ brand component speakers and I was told to use a dual coil sub and a 4 channel amp. I am looking mainly for clear sound and clear bass nothing to rattle my car. Also I would like to put my 10″ in the place where the factory 10″ sub went at.

A: well they really isnt the best speakers out in the market if so there would just be one brand so it pretty much comes down to preference cuz some people have good experiances with some brands and others have really bad experiances with the same brand so it pretty much is up to you of course the best quality that a brand can offer will be more expensive so it really comes down into how much do you really want to spend right… some good brands that i can tell you of are alpine.jl audio. ma audio. polk audio.kicker,performance teknics,jbl,mtx,mb quartz,infinity, oz, diamond, and alot of others but if you want clear sound then just get component speakers in the front these come with a crossover so it pretty much seperates the lows,higs,and mids so your components dont distort as were the regular speakers would but if your going to upgrade your speakers i suggest you hook them up to a amp to get the best out of your speakers for example if you get 4 200 watts speakers and your stereo only gives out 50 watts to each speakers your obiously not getting the best out of them so you need a amp to give them the rest of the power that they need as for the sub you could upgrade the stock one but your still with the same dilema if you have a sub that handles more power then you need a amp that can supply that power good luck to you and i hope some of this was helpful to you

Q: Is it a good decision to buy 2005 Cadillac CTS with 102,000 miles?
Would it be smart to purchase a 2005 CTS that has 102,000 miles on it for $7000. I would be purchasing from a private seller. I’m not very familiar with Cadillacs and am also cautious about purchasing a car with over 100,000 miles but I also do not want to pass up a good deal. Thanks!

Q: Who is the manufacturer of the 2006 Cadillac CTS navigation system?
Just looking for more information on who built the navigation, what kind of hookups (inputs, camera, etc) are available on the stock system. Model # would be a bonus too!

A: The manufacture is Delphi electronics…the navigation systems are assembled in Mexico. Usually the stock includes..color screen, AM, FM Radio, 7 disc cd changer, ive also seen some that gives you up to date traffic information…the same model number fits all 2003-2007 Cadillac cts.

and why is the cadillac sts so much more expensive?

A: The CTS is an entry level luxury car, is smaller and has a less powerful engine on all but the highest level of trim. The STS is now and has always been an upscale sporty vehicle with high end trim and preformance options. If you drive both you will know right away. Keep in mind too that if you go for the big engine CTS special edition, the price will actually top out above the STS.

What would be cheaper.
To buy a GPS ($1,500) and get it installed or have a sunroof put in?
I don’t know the price it costs to have a GPS installed.

A: don’t get an aftermarket sunroof. they ALWAYS leak after a couple of years. most good shops i know won’t do them just for that reason

The CTS has 41,900 miles and it costs 15,995 and the LS has 31,900 miles and it costs 14,994?

A: Lincoln replaced the LS because it was such a slow seller. And the average buyer age was 59.5 years old. It was supposed to attract a younger crowd to Lincoln. I guess the succeeded because the average buyer age for the Town Car is 67!

If you’re up in age, the LS will suit you. If you’re younger, the CTS is the car for you. The CTS will hold its resale value better. It’s more in demand. The LS, because it’s been discontinued, will fall much faster. When it’s time to sell the CTS, that won’t be a problem. But with the LS you’ll have to wait until you find someone old enough who wants it.

I don’t sell either one. But If I had to choose, it would be the CTS for sure.

Q: is the cadillac cts coupe really gonna be on sale or is it going to stay as a concept?
i was thinking of buying myself a cts but then i saw the coupe and i wanted it. just wanted to know if it is going to be on the market.

A: The CTS coupe should be coming out by 2010.

Q: How can I reactivate the GPS on my 2008 Cadillac CTS?
I accidentally pressed cancel (thinking I was cancelling the trip I was on) on the touch screen of the navigation system and my GPS guidance became inactivate. The maps still work and everything, but I can’t get directions or guidance any longer. I know it is probably a simple step or two, but I’ve yet to figure it out. Any insights would be appreciated.
