Q: would a 1967 firebird Subframe fit a 1969 camaro?
am getting both cars in a deal, and I would like to have disc brakes and after market suspension on my 69 camaro over the firebird, the firebird comes with the goodies, and the camaro has drums all around. My question is can I just simply swap the front subframe to my 69 camaro? It seems much easier rather than taking smaller things apart. thanks for your input.
A: Yes it will. Less work to not mess with the sheetmetal and swap the brakes though.
By the way, contrary to what 99% of the people out there say, it is a STUBframe, not a subframe. There is no frame under a frame, while there is an unboltable portion of the frame.
Q: where can i buy a 1969 camaro complete fiberglass body?

I am looking for a 1969 camaro that is sitting under a pile of blankets in the chaffee county area. I know it is there i just don’t know where this lady lives.

Q: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS not been started in 12 years where do I start?
Been sitting in the garage for years. The engines not seized, been kept in a heated garage. Now what do I do to get it running?
It’s going to need points.
And it has a 350.
A: I would start by putting a little bit of oil in each cylinder and rotating the engine by hand, to help lubricate the rings and build compression . Also change the oil & filter, new spark plugs, cap rotor & points, replace the thermostat and any rubber hoses that look bad, and flush out the radiator. I also would put in some fresh gas and replace the battery if it’s really old. From there I would start the car and let it run for awhile so the fluids circulate, and then drive it around the block very easily. From there I would look for any leaks or issues that might occur and then fix as necessary.
Q: How much does a 1969 Camaro SS cost?
It is a black car with white racing stripes and it also has a V8. he is offering me 15k. it that a good deal?
A: 35-75000 if it’s mint
Q: What are the major exterior differences between a 1968 and a 1969 camaro? (besides the side vent windows).?
A: The body lines on the 68 were the same as the 67, but in 69 the were higher. The 69s had what was considered to be “eyebrows” for side body lines with the line coming from in front of the front wheel and blending into the door, and the rear started in front of the back tire and blended into the rear quarter.
With the body lines located higher, the door skins were different, although the actual door was the same.
The grill and bumpers were also different as well as the tailpanel and tail lights. And the lower valances were also different {panel under the front bumper that had the turn signals}
The dash layout was also different but the carpets would interchange and the seats could be bolted in from the 3 years but the patterns on the seats would not match.
All the glass was the same between 68 & 69, at least the size and shapes of the glass. there are date codes on the glass that would identify the different years but they would interchange.
Most people say that 69 was the best looking year and had the most options, even headlight washers that squirted washer fluid on the lights to clean them.
Q: Why won’t my 1969 Camaro shift out of 2nd gear?
I have a 69 Camaro SS convertible with a 350 and a 4 speed manual transmission. I was driving down the road, shifted into 2nd and it wouldn’t shift out. Luckily I could start in 2nd and just drive slow in order to get home, but it’s just stuck there. Engine and trans were completely rebuilt last year and I’ve never had a problem like this before. The car normally runs beautifully. Any advice?
A: <<<<<<<<<<< Q: 1969 Camaro Z28 Good Condition How much Would It go For the price? A: don’t ask that question here. go to camaros.net there is a forum with much more knowledgeable people in that market. a 1969 camaro z28 in good condition, (without a repo trim tag) yes, there are scammers out there!!! will probably run you anywhere between $25,000 to $75,000 depending on documentation, originality, history, numbers matching, etc etc Q: where can I find a 1969 camaro body? A: Stop in at a Speed / Hot Rod Shop who deal with this line of work everyday. Q: Does anyone know were to get a 1967 to 1969 camaro for less than $5000? A: Not on a bet. If the shell is rebuild-able it brings 7-10 k Q: How Much would a 1969 camaro 350 ci sale for at the rod run? A: somewhere between $50 and $1,000,000 depending on the condition and how much somebody is willing to spend. Q: Where can i find a 1969 chevy camaro for sale in seattle, washington? A: Try craigslist or autotrader. Q: How can you determine if a 1969 Camaro is an SS versus a clone??? A: It’s hard to tell on a first generation camaro. There is a pretty good guide here… http://www.chevy-camaro.com/faq/chevy-camaro-faq-SS.shtm Q: which car catches a girl eye more a 1969 camaro or a 2008 porsche and which one is more intimidating? A: This is going to come down to personal opinion since no person is the same and likes the same thing. It also depends on other variables (color of the car, modifications to the car, etc). In my opinion I’d be all for the Porsche, while another person will be all about the camaro. Long story short is that you aren’t going to get a 100% consistent answer to this questions since you aren’t going to catch every girl’s eye with a camaro, or with a Porsche. It’s all about their taste in what they like. Good choice on suggesting the 69′ Camaro since that body style is absolutely stunning, though. A nice healthy 69′ Z28 with a Stock 302 would be a fabulous car to drive. Assuming you’re suggesting a 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo (and not something like a boxster or the like) that would also be a good choice. But again…. too hard to say, since you’ll never get a specific percentage or answer since they all like something different Q: is buying a 1969 chevolet camaro now for $47000 and holding onto it for a few years a good investment? A: 1 I would never pay 47K for a 69 Camaro, why because I can find a matching numbers one that is not in mint condition for a whole lot less, fix it up for a better return on my money. 2 Its just a car. 3 There are better things to invest your 47K on and get a better % return and quicker then getting a car and holding it then resaling hoping you get a better return. Besides haveing your money diverse is better than depending on a single investment
body with the old motor will work.
Your Chevy Dealer in the parts and service could help you or most likely refer a machanice they have in the shop there who are into that.

e-mail me if you know where or what web site to check the VIN number please…
It does have the 396 engine and badges but many other things don’t SS match..
