Q: What is the dealer price for a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ?
My dad wants this information so he knows what to haggle for, and I have no idea how to find it. Help?
Of course I can Google. Can you read the question? I didn’t ask for the Chevrolet website.

A: I would reccomend truecar.com. Edmunds TMV is good to. Here is truecar:

Q: Does a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado have a recall for a messed up speedometer?

Q: Would a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado z71 show a warning light for something wrong with the transmission?
Sometimes when the transmission is shifting from a low gear (I think 1st to 2nd or maybe 2nd to 3rd) it is not a very smooth motion. I either hear a soft clunk or it kind of delays then a soft pop into the next gear.

It isn’t real bad, but still noticable. Any ideas on this? Would a light appear for it to be checked?

Thanks.

A: Yes it would,ECU monitors engine and tranny.Check your tranny fluid for dirty or burnt oil and level.Take it to dealer or aamco before it quits on you.

Q: What are the different types of Chevrolet Silverado trucks?
i’m looking to get a used one as my first car, i just want a standard one with a regular back seat and regular everything. is that a 1500? what would it be called?

A: The truck with a back seat but not four doors is called an extended cab. It is available in 1500, 2500 and 3500.

Q: How Do I Level out my 1989 Chevrolet Silverado?
Do I need to buy something or can I just remove a leaf spring or a shackle? I just want the truck to sit level because right now the truck sits raked (factory suspension). I don’t want to slam it to the ground and I know that if I want to go lower Ill have to notch it and buy parts.

A: All chevy trucks are 2 ” higher in the rear.
Get your self a pair of 2 ” lowing block and new ” U ” blots.
The easyest way is to cut the U bolts off rather then trying to save them.
You can drop it up to 4 inches in the rear before you have to notch it.
You can buy kits to do this.
You would go 2 inches in the front and 4 inches in the rear.
I have a 67 c 10 and am going 3″ ( 2 inch drop spindel and a 1 inch drop spring.) in the front and 4″ in the rear.

Q: How do I remove the door panels on a 2001 chevrolet silverado?
I am installing new speakers for the door panels and I dont want to break anything! Does everything pop off? There are no power windows or locks.

A: The panels are secured with compression clips then there’s a “L” clip at the interior door handle (not opening mechanism).
Loosen the clips around the perimeter, this requires a good, quick pull then take the door handle and lift it upwards. It should come off.

There’s no need to undo any screws, Cover plates just pop off.

Q: How much fuel pressure should a 1989 chevrolet silverado have?
I’ve heard between 9 and 11 psi. is this right?

A: If it is throttle body fuel injection, it will be about 22psi. If it is multiport injection it will be 50psi +

Q: How do you install Front Wheel Bearings on a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Truck 2wd.?
the bearings are now included in an enclosed hub – called hub bearings. its different than it was on older trucks. the bearings are actually enclosed.

A: Jack truck up, place on jack stands,
Remove wheel, and brake caliper (no need to take brake line off, use a block to sit caliper on, or a clothes hanger to hang caliper with so force aint on the line.

Look at your rotor, pop the grease cap off the center with a flat blade screw driver..

Remove cotter pin with screwdriver and plairs, take off castle nut and large washer off.

Pull rotor out then push back in.. That will wiggle the outter wheel bearing so you can grab it, remove that bearing

Now pull rotor off.

On the back side of rotor you will see the seal, pop it out with a flat blade.

Now lift out the winner wheel bearing.

Check the bearing races (inside hub) if any signs of wear replace them (drive out with large punch and drive new ones in with race/seal/bearing driver tool)

Pack new inner bearing with grease, install in rotor, put new seal in,

Put rotor back on

Pack outter bearing and put in rotor

Put washer, castle nut nut back on.

Tighten nut untill you can’t turn rotor any, then back off the nut 1/2 turn to 5/8 turn..

Put cotter pin back in it, fill with grease, and pop cap back on.

Put caliper on,

Install wheel
