Q: Are used jeeps good for a first car?
A: It’s your choice, but I don’t really think an SUV is a good first car at all, remember SUVs can rollover A LOT easier than a normal car.
Q: How much is a used Jeep Cherokee?
How much is a used Jeep Cherokee in the 1990’s approximately?
A: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/1990-to-1996-jeep-cherokee.htm
$600-$2,000
It is recommended to have any used vehicle you’re interested in buying inspected by a mechanic.
Q: How much would a used jeep grand cherokee cost?
i know absolutely nothing about cars. im from new jersey and im been saving up for a car. i really want a grand cherokee. idk what year and i just wanna know if i could afford it.
A: You are gonna need to provide a few more details than that. The older and worse condition its in the less its going to cost to buy.
Q: What do you think about a used Jeep Grand Cherokee with 50K miles?
I am looking for a Jeep, but a lot of people say it will have problems and if it all ready has over 50K miles then that’s the peak…should I buy one or no?
A: what year and engine? a 4.0 in a early model grand leaks by a sieve by 50k, the 4.7 is a good reliable motor. in the late model grands, 3.7 is way under powered but the 4.7 and the hemi are both great motors and 50000 is nothing.
Q: How to go about buying a used car?
I want to buy a used Jeep for under $5000. But I need away to make it happen because I’m broke and in college. What I am asking for is suggestions on how to get money quickly or a way to purchase the car and pay for it
A: buy the consumer reports car issue
and you’ll learn, don’t buy Jeeps.
your best bet is to buy from a relative or save $3,000 and go shopping.
there is no easy way to lose weight or earn money.
Q: Is it a stupid idea to buy a used Wrangler with 130,000 miles on it?
I’m in the market for a new car, unfortunately I have a very small budget. I found a used Jeep Wrangler that appears to be in excellent condition in my price range, but it’s already got 130,000 miles on it.
I’m not entirely sure how many miles I can get out of a Wrangler, I know it’s quite a bit, but do you think it would be unwise to buy a car with that many miles on it already?
A: whatever car you buy have it checked out by a mechanic well worth the money
Q: What are the best sites to search for jeeps in MI?
Where is the best place to search for a used Jeep in michigan?
I am wanting to get a wrangler but i know dlrs can rip you off…
is vehix good? I am hesitant about craigs list… ugh.. can anyone help???
I don’t want to spend a ton of money
A: check your neighborhood and local classified ads.
btw Jeeps break down a lot and cost more to own & repair than others.
Q: How to buy a used car?
I’m checking out a used Jeep this weekend. This would be the first car I buy from a private individual.
If I buy the car he takes the license plates off. If this is the case, how do I drive it home?
Thanks,
Kevin
One thing I should add.
I’m in the military living in VA. My residence is Alaska however, so its not all that easy to get temp plates (have to do this whole mailing thing).
A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: I’m looking to buy a used Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but I don’t know what trim level to get, Sahara or Rubicon?
I don’t know which to buy, the Sahara looks better, but the Rubicon is more expensive, whats the difference between the two trim levels?
A: The Sahara is a beauty option package compared to the Rubicon which is more HD and all Rube’s come with a Dana 44 where the Shara could only have a Dana 35. Plus the Rub only comes with a 4.0L high output engine and usually auto, the Sahara can have a 4 cylinder stick. If you build an auto correctly that is a way better trans for wheeling, Now a bunch of jeepers will say stick, go ask the old guys and see what they like.
IF I have the money I would chose the Rub
Q: What would be a good price for a used Jeep Wrangler?
I’m thinking about getting a 95′ since I like the older looking style. They would roughly hit $6,000 at most, right?
A: I wouldn’t pay more than that for a 95 even if it did have a ton of options. The 96 and up are much better. Manual transmissions are a problem on the older ones also.
Q: Add towing package to used Jeep Cherokee?
We are looking into buying a used 98-00 Jeep Cherokee and we need it to have a towing package.
Is it possible to add a towing package if we find a good car without the towing package?
How much would it probably cost to add the towing package?
Thanks
A: You can add a tow hitch for cheap. However, a tow package had a stronger rear axle (Chrysler 8.25) a lower gear ratio (3.73) probably an np 231 transfer case, a transmission cooler maybe? So to add the towing package like that it’s way more than it’s worth. Depending on what you’re towing though, pretty much all the options in those years are going to be okay with just adding a hitch.
Q: How can I best sell my used Jeep?
(Not trying to do it here!)
I have no idea how to handle it best. I don’t need a new car, it’s paid off, should I sell it to the dealer from whom I bought it? I don’t really want to deal with classifieds…etc…
Hey choclab, I’ve got a 5 year old male chocolate lab, he is the absolute love of my life.
It’s a 2000 Wrangler Sahara, black. 50000 miles. Automatic. Probably not your style…
A: I know that you said that you didn’t want to fool with classifieds, however that is how you will get the most for your TJ. There are people all over who would love to buy your jeep. Check out this site it is just for jeeps. Price it high and negotiate down to your asking price if necessary

Q: What should I do about buying this used jeep commander?
It is a 2007 limited with 31,000 miles. Leather interior and the works, minus navigation. Tires are about 50% worn. Dealer told me 18,995 and then today I was walking in and another salesman told an older customer that it was 17,900. Im 24 and buying my first new car, and I cant help but feel like Im being taken advantage of. Please help!!! how should I approach this??
A: Go to a bank or Credit Union and get the real Blue Book price for it. If you get pre-approved for financing prior to going to a dealer, then YOU are the one in control. Don’t let them walk on you. All they want is the almighty dollar. Stand firm.
Q: Should My First Car be A 1942 Ford GPW Jeep Used in WWII?
I would like to get that jeep in restored quality Its my favorite out of all the other Jeeps used during WWII
A: you will only be able to run about 40 mph downhill just keep that in mind
Q: When did Jeeps go into production for the consumer market?
I know Jeeps were originally used by the Army on rough terrain. Who started producing them for the public, and when?
A: Willy’s was the first company to produce a civilian Jeep (the Jeep CJ). The first CJ model actually available at retail was the CJ-2A, which went on sale in 1945.
